YOUTH SERVICE PROGRAM ASSESSMENT

NLP-Enhanced Insights from Student Feedback

This project focused on a community-based youth service organizations, gathering feedback from 500 participants (5th - 12th graders) who actively participated in out-of-school on-site activities. Students were asked to provide three-sentence accounts of their experiences, coupled with Likert scale inquiries to assess comprehension, response time, and consumer insights. This dual approach unveiled program preferences, limited social/emotional impact, and significant occurance of unreported bullying.

It also revealed potential comprehension barriers and validated keyboarding proficiency at expected grade level. Data collection spanned three months, aligned with computer learning sessions. Students were encouraged to be candid, even if their experiences didn't prompt new insights. This holistic evaluation illuminated vital aspects of the youth service programs, facilitating targeted enhancements and demonstrating the efficacy of combining free-text responses with structured Likert scale assessments.
